You are given a damaged, degraded, or low-quality old black and white photograph as the reference image. The photo may have: heavy grain, stains, spots, scratches, tears, missing areas, fading, yellowing, blurring, or partial destruction. Your task is to fully restore this photograph to a clean sharp black and white image. RESTORATION RULES: - Preserve and reconstruct the exact facial features of the person in the photo with maximum precision — same face shape, same proportions, same bone structure, same eyes, same nose, same lips, same chin, same forehead. Do not alter or idealize any feature. - Reconstruct any missing or damaged areas of the image intelligently — fill in torn corners, missing parts, scratches and stains based on the surrounding context. - Remove all damage artifacts: stains, spots, foxing, scratches, tears, yellowing, water damage — all must be completely cleaned. - Sharpen the entire image — bring out facial details, clothing texture, background details that were lost to damage and age. - The restored image must look like a clean, well-preserved original photograph — as if it had been stored perfectly for decades. - Maintain the original composition, framing and pose exactly as in the damaged original. - The final image is strictly black and white — clean neutral grey tones, high detail, no color anywhere. - Background should be clean and neutral — restore to a soft plain studio backdrop as typical of Soviet-era portrait photography. CRITICAL — DO NOT INVENT ELEMENTS: restore ONLY what is already visible or partially visible in the original photo. Do not add any medals, orders, badges, insignia, stripes, buttons, uniform details, or any other elements that are not already present in the damaged original. If a medal is partially visible — restore only that medal. If no medal is visible — do not add any. Every element in the restored image must correspond to something that exists in the original photograph. When in doubt — leave it out. Output resolution: 2K minimum. The face must be sharp, clearly visible and fully restored. Strictly avoid: adding any elements not present in the original photo — no extra medals, no extra insignia, no extra uniform details, changing facial features or proportions, beautifying or idealizing the face, adding color, changing the pose or composition, making the person look younger or older than in the original photo.
